"The Old Man and the Sea" award-winning animation, part 1

Hello, everyone!
First of all we would like to say that we are very much pleased that you have visited this blog. The aim of our work in it is to research one of the most famous
works by Ernest Miller Hemingway - "The Old Man and the Sea". It is a novella written in Cuba in 1951 and published in 1952. It was the last major work of fiction to be produced by Hemingway and published in his lifetime.
The story is very exciting, touching and it really worths reading. In short it centers upon an aging Cuban fisherman who struggles with a giant marlin. But behind the events discribed in this story there lies a very deep meaning. So the topic of our project is "Destroyed but not defeated" and it will cover the theme and the levels of meaning in "The Old man and the sea". Moreover we will not only research our main topic, but also we will try to provide you with plenty of information about Hemingway's biography and his creative work, with some links and images conserned with the topic.
So let us begin. Here you will be able to watch an animation film "The Old Man and the Sea" directed by Alexander Petrov. In 1999 he and his work were honoured with "Oscar" for the best animation movie". We enjoyed watching it and we expect you as well to be delighted with this extraordinary work. Enjoy!:-)
